CDL Driver

Position Summary:

The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction job sites. This role supports field operations by ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.

 

Duties, Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate commercial vehicles (e.g. water trucks, belly trains, end dumps, triple transfer, and 10-wheeler) to job sites in a safe and professional manner
  • Complete required trips as assigned by Transportation Supervisor and according to established trip routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, time records, and delivery documentation
  • Load and unload materials, including securing loads to prevent shifting or damage
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and crew members regarding delivery schedules and site conditions
  • Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws, including OSHA and company safety standards
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, mechanical issues, or safety concerns promptly
  • Follow Material Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of Hazardous Materials, as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles

 

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A (with appropriate endorsements as required)
  • Clean driving record in compliance with company and insurance standards
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience in construction industry
  • Must have OSHA 10 Construction
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment and Drug Test
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing per DOT regulations

  • Construction job sites with exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and traffic
  • Fast-paced environment requiring attention to safety and detail
  • May involve early mornings, long shifts, and seasonal workload fluctuations
